Lit Mag Covers

After doing some research on literary magazine covers I found that the most appealing ones are colorful and artistic. Each of the pictures below has a distinct theme and color pallet, and even an air of mystery or otherworldliness to it. A good magazine cover is intriguing or startling and grabs the reader’s attention.

When I pick up a book, it’s almost always the one with the fancy cover that you can see across the room.

I think it’s also important for the cover to be relevant to the theme of the magazine, to the publisher, or to make some kind of commentary on the content inside.
