My Weekly Progress

This week the Toyon staff began reviewing art submissions for the 2017 volume. I’m reviewing spoken word, audio, and video pieces, and just looked at a spoken word entry. I am excited to see how my interpretation of it compares with the other two staff members that did a review of the same work.

I’ve been working on getting this blog up to speed and making my portfolio more readable. I’ve also been working on a Featured Friday recurring post idea for Facebook and/or Instagram. These posts would center around a particular Toyon staff member, highlighting their achievements both in an out of Toyon. It will also feature a quote from the staff member stating what they feel the have gained from working for Toyon and how that might benefit their future. This could potentially be expanded to past staff members in a Where Are They Now section. These posts might be beneficial to add to the Toyon website so that students at Humboldt State can see what working for Toyon would be like.
